Triumph Group CEO Mario Ribeiro to Speak at The Buildings Show on Breaking Regulatory Barriers for Modular and Prefabricated Construction

Toronto, ON — [Tuesday, December 2] — Triumph Group of Companies announced today that Founder & CEO Mario Ribeiro will speak at The Buildings Show 2025, joining an expert panel exploring how modular, panelized, and AI-enabled construction can accelerate housing delivery across Canada.

The session, titled “Modular Homes: Breaking Through Regulatory Barriers to Solve the Housing Crisis (OHBA)”, takes place on Friday, December 6, at 10:30 AM. The panel will examine how regulatory modernization, harmonized building codes, and industrialized construction workflows can address Canada’s urgent need for more housing.

Ribeiro, who leads one of Ontario’s most integrated building-envelope platforms, will offer a practical, manufacturing-driven perspective informed by Triumph’s 38+ years of construction expertise and PrimeFab’s emerging leadership in prefabricated panel systems.

“We’re at a pivotal moment in Canadian construction,” says Ribeiro. “To solve the housing crisis, we need to embrace the same industrialization mindset that transformed other sectors. Factory-built wall systems and modular components can deliver consistent quality, reduce timelines, and ease pressure on the labour force, but regulatory alignment is crucial to unlocking that scale.”

As part of the discussion, Ribeiro will highlight how PrimeFab, Triumph’s advanced manufacturing division based in Midland, Ontario, is preparing to support the next generation of housing delivery through high-performance PrimePanels and PrimeWalls—factory-built assemblies designed to reduce onsite labour, improve energy performance, and streamline project timelines.

Mario will speak alongside:

  • Steven Haylestrom, CEO, The Modular Solution & Founder, The Canadian OffSite Alliance
  • Ramtin Attar, Co-Founder & CEO, Promise Robotics
  • Tyler Bennett, Sr. Manager, Planning & Operations, Stelumar Advanced Manufacturing
  • David Warne, Principal, Skyhook Modular Architecture

The conversation will explore how emerging technologies, including robotics, automation, and AI design tools, can reduce build times by as much as 60 percent, while new manufacturing models create more predictable, scalable housing delivery. The panel is expected to draw more than 150 industry professionals from development, architecture, government, and construction.

Triumph and PrimeFab will also be connecting with builders, developers, architects, and policymakers throughout the event to discuss how prefabrication can support more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective building envelope solutions across Ontario and beyond.
