Midland, ON — [Friday, May8, 2026] — PrimeFab, a division of the Triumph Group of Companies, celebrated the official Grand Opening of its new advanced manufacturing facility in Midland on Friday, marking a major milestone for the company, the local community, and the future of prefabricated construction in Ontario.
The event brought together local officials, industry partners, existing Triumph clients, community leaders, and members of the Triumph and PrimeFab teams for a ribbon cutting, guided facility tours, and a first look inside the 100,000 sq ft facility on Pillsbury Drive.
The new facility represents an investment of approximately $20 million in plant and equipment and is designed to support high-performance panelized wall systems and prefabricated building envelope solutions for residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial construction.
“What you’ll see here today is much more than a new manufacturing facility. It represents where construction is going,” said Mario Ribeiro, Founder and CEO of PrimeFab and Triumph Group of Companies. “PrimeFab is not just about making panels. It is about helping solve real problems in housing, institutional construction, and sustainable buildings across Ontario and beyond.”
For more than 37 years, Triumph Group of Companies has built its reputation across roofing, cladding, waterproofing, glazing, heritage restoration, and complete exterior building envelope systems. PrimeFab represents the next chapter in that evolution, bringing advanced manufacturing, automation, and prefabrication into a vertically integrated delivery model.
The Grand Opening was also a proud moment for Mario Ribeiro and Frank Ribeiro, whose leadership has shaped Triumph’s growth from its early days into a national building envelope group. The launch of PrimeFab reflects the same foundation of hard work, technical excellence, and long-term investment that has guided the company for decades.
“At this facility, we’re manufacturing high-performance wall systems that arrive on site faster, safer, and with greater precision,” said Ribeiro. “This means fewer delays, less waste, better quality, and stronger long-term building performance.”
The event was attended by Mayor Bill Gordon, MP Adam Chambers, MPP Jill Dunlop, and other local mayors and municipal representatives, along with partners and supporters from across Simcoe County and the broader construction industry.
MPP Jill Dunlop described the opening as more than a facility launch, calling it a reflection of “progress, innovation, and confidence in the future of Simcoe County and Ontario’s construction sector.” She noted that PrimeFab’s investment supports skilled jobs and new opportunities in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and the skilled trades.
Mayor Bill Gordon welcomed PrimeFab’s investment in Midland, highlighting the facility’s potential role in supporting housing solutions and strengthening the local manufacturing economy.
“It is a very proud day for Midland,” said Gordon. “We are very proud and grateful that you chose our community to be a leader in precision, quality, and rapid solutions to the housing crisis.”
MP Adam Chambers also recognized the importance of repurposing the former Pillsbury facility and thanked Mario, Frank, and the PrimeFab team for their confidence in the region.
“To know that it is being repurposed because there’s been an investor and a company who decided that Midland is their place to do business, I think it’s fantastic,” said Chambers. “We’re going to make Midland proud, we’re going to do well for the community, but we’re going to change the way houses are built.”
PrimeFab extends its sincere thanks to the local officials, community partners, economic development leaders, clients, suppliers, and industry partners who attended the Grand Opening and supported the facility launch. The company also thanks the Triumph and PrimeFab teams whose work helped bring the facility from vision to operation.
With the facility now officially open, PrimeFab is positioned to support developers, consultants, builders, and institutional partners seeking faster timelines, improved quality control, and greater predictability in construction delivery.
“This is only the beginning,” said Ribeiro.
