- Location: Muskoka, Ontario
- Scope: 2,100 sq ft complete structural envelope
- Duration: 3 days onsite assembly
PrimeFab’s Muskoka Beach Road project highlights how speed, innovation, and quality can work hand-in-hand to transform construction timelines. Delivered to a rural lot in the heart of cottage country, this 2,100 sq ft residential home was fully assembled in just three days, cutting more than two weeks off the traditional stick-frame schedule.
The build served dual purposes: a fully functional residence and a live R&D site for testing PrimeFab’s systemized approach to panelized construction. The full building envelope was manufactured offsite and included exterior wall panels with pre-installed windows, interior partition walls, subfloors, and prefabricated roof panels. Assembly on-site was smooth and clean, with minimal waste or disruption.
Behind the scenes, the project allowed the PrimeFab team to test and refine critical elements:
- Load tolerances and structural performance
- Weather-resistant barrier (WRB) application methods
- Panel storage and transportation logistics for remote sites
The results validate PrimeFab’s ability to deliver high-quality prefabricated building envelopes with predictable speed, even in less accessible environments. The Muskoka Beach home has since become a cornerstone case study, proving that innovation is not only possible, but repeatable.
